VICE PRESIDENT
ASHISH LALL
Ashish Lall is a commercial real estate investor and operator with more than 15 years of experience spanning acquisitions, asset management, development, and capital markets. He has sourced, financed, repositioned, and managed real estate across asset classes — including industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use — pairing an investor’s underwriting discipline with hands-on operating expertise.
Most recently, as Director of Acquisitions at CloudKitchens (City Storage Systems), Ashish expanded the firm’s industrial real estate portfolio into new markets across the Northeast, Southeast, and Midwest. He owned the full deal process — from lead generation through closing — on more than 40 property acquisitions, while leading teams of managers, associates, and analysts across multiple offices.
Previously, as Head of Acquisitions and Management at Fortuna Realty Group, he spearheaded acquisitions and asset management for a prominent New York City family office, growing the portfolio to $1 billion in asset value and more than 700 personnel while negotiating financing and joint-venture agreements.
Ashish also holds a particularly deep track record in hospitality, having managed, renovated, developed, and owned more than a dozen hotels representing over $600 million in asset value. Since 2017 he has directly overseen more than $36 million of renovations across 1,500 keys (roughly $24,000 per key), successfully re-branding and repositioning numerous assets to create significant value.
Earlier in his career, Ashish was a real estate investment banker — at Credit Suisse in the Real Estate, Gaming, Lodging & Leisure group and at Cantor Fitzgerald’s Private Capital Group — advising on M&A, private placements, leveraged loans, and capital markets offerings. He began his career as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps, serving four years of active duty, including in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
In the Press
Ashish has been featured in recent industry press, including two 2019 appearances on The Stoler Report (Hospitality Update) and the Bisnow Hospitality Conference.
Recent Case Studies
Manteo, NC (Outer Banks): Ashish completed the renovation and re-branding of an independent property on a construction budget of nearly $25,000 per key. Delivered in just 3.5 months, it now operates as an upscale independent boutique hotel.
Trade Winds Inn — Rockland, ME: After acquiring the hotel and taking over operations, Ashish improved revenue by nearly 50% over the prior owner’s results in his first three months of management — without any renovations.
